Pioneering evidence-based pediatric growth standards and national nutrition guidelines in India

Dr. Anuradha Khadilkar is a distinguished pediatrician with more than 25 years of expertise in pediatric growth, nutrition, and endocrine disorders. She is the co-founder of the Sweetlings program, an initiative that provides comprehensive support to more than 800 underprivileged children living with diabetes.


An accomplished clinician, researcher, and educator, Dr. Khadilkar has mentored 26 PhD scholars, trained more than 100 physicians, authored over 350 peer-reviewed publications and 10 book chapters, and received more than 70 awards recognizing the impact of her research.


Her contributions include the development of the Indian growth charts and participation in the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP) guidelines on vitamin D and childhood obesity. She has also pioneered research in bone health among children with chronic diseases and continues to lead collaborative national and international efforts to advance pediatric health, nutrition, and evidence-based clinical care.
