Dr. Cindy Neunert is a Professor of Pediatrics at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York. She received fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas in Texas where she also obtained her Master’s degree in clinical research. Her research interests involve assessing patient-related outcomes in disorders of classical hematology. She was chair of the of the 2019 American Society of Hematology guidelines on the diagnosis and management of Immune Thrombocytopenia. She is the former chair of the Pediatric ITP Consortium of North America. She is currently working the ITP Consortium. She is now on a working group within this consortium to understand use of integrative therapies for patients with ITP and has established clinical care inclusive of integrative therapies across a board range of hematologic conditions.
